Q + A
How do I book a session?
You may fill out the form on the about page, or send a direct email to
What happens next?
We will schedule a consultation and discuss your expectations for the session. During the consultation, we will go over location options and pricing. Once the date is solidified, we will send out a contract. Once the contract is signed and the deposit or session fee is paid, you are officially booked.
I am getting married in two years. Is it too early to book?
Sessions can fill up weeks or months in advance, so booking early is always a good idea!
How soon after the session will I receive the photos?
Depending on the type of session you book, you can expect to receive your photos anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks. Weddings will have longer processing times than a portrait session.
What should I expect during the session?
During a portrait session, we will meet at an agreed-upon location and get photographing! You can usually expect to walk a moderate amount and we use various sub-locations during the shoot. I am more than happy to accommodate any posing ideas you have as well!
How should I prepare my child for the session?
You know your child better than anyone else, but there are some general tips to adhere to:
Make sure they are well-fed and well-rested prior to the session. If your child has a soccer game earlier in the day or has been running errands with you, it is likely they will be cranky and worn out for the session. Ideally, the hours leading up the shoot should be as stress-free as possible.
What should I bring to the session?
If you have young children, bring snacks and water. If you will be changing outfits, bring said attire. For weddings, bring any and all accessories, including but not limited to: wedding bands, engagement rings, wedding invitations etc.
What about the weather?
Always be mindful of the weather. If it's a scorcher, bring enough water to last the duration of the session. If we are shooting in cooler weather, bring a light jacket or coat, even if you are not planning on being photographed in in the attire.
What should I expect post session?
After your session, I will begin to process the photos. Once the photos are edited, I will contact you and send the high-quality Jpegs over in an online transfer or USB Flash Drive.
I do not give RAW files.
Once you receive the images, should you desire heavy-duty edits, such as major retouching, we can set up a separate package for additional edits.
We strive to make your experience as easy as possible. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
